| Why Choose Leverage Machines |
Originally designed and built for Gold's Gym in Venice, California for the elite bodybuilders and athletes to train on. Instantly they were accepted and Leverage machines were in immediate demand. Soon every major gym equipment company developed their own line of Leverage machines and today virtually every gym and health club provides Leverage equipment for their members. Over the past decade these machines have become by far the most used equipment by all types of trainers in the gym.
The initial concept and design is really quite simple. The typical Leverage machine is made up of a steel frame structure, a bench or seat and a lever arm. No weight stacks, cables, pulleys, cams, chains or belts (like with a multi gym) These are negative factors that add friction, slack and empty gaps of resistance to the conventional machine that make them restrictive to growth.
The Leverage machine operates by loading the weight plates directly onto the lever arm itself. The lever arm travels through a precise range of motion keeping the trainer in perfect form throughout. The weight plates act as resistance which is pure and natural and in turn create the true feel of free weight. Although Barbell and Dumbbell training is effective it can be sloppy and lack good form and control of the exercise. In addition, free weight training will limit the user the ability to push the muscles to failure which is necessary for maximum muscle growth and strength. This is especially difficult to accomplish in the home where a spotter is usually not available.
The Leverage machine has become the most popular, most effective training tool available because it combines the natural feel and resistance of free weight with the control and safety of a machine.
