New FluidRower commercial range proves a big hit on the Fitness Superstore stand at Leisure Industry Week (LIW) 2014

Fitness Superstore was delighted to unveil an exciting new range of FluidRower commercial rowing machines at this year’s Leisure Industry week. Taking place at the NEC Birmingham on 30 September to 2 October 2014, Fitness Superstore demonstrated how this trio of fluid resistance machines – the Apollo Pro, Viking Pro and Vortex Pro2 - use patented fluid resistance technology to offer maximised rowing performance to suit all abilities.

Fitness Superstore’s trained staff were on hand across the three days to demonstrate and highlight the benefits of these rowing machines to leisure professionals at the show. The main feedback from leisure professionals visiting the Fitness Superstore stand was not only the attractive aesthetics of the machines, but the incredible smoothness felt throughout the stoke.

Charles Adams, FluidRower (First Degree Fitness) Marketing Director said: “A common complaint of rowing machines that use air to power the resistance is that they often deliver dead spots, which is due to the resistance being compressed into the middle third of the movement. Not only can this cause jarring, but this also does not enable full muscle engagement, which is key for maximised performance.

“As water is thicker than air, rowing machines that use water to power the resistance enables consistent resistance from the very start to the end of the stroke. What was crucial for us to get across about this new range of FluidRowers was the unique benefit of their patented vertical tanks. Forcing the user to lift water from the start to the very end of the stroke, it creates maximum muscle engagement whilst fully protecting the joints.”

Another popular observation about the water rowing machines was their dual use. Leisure professionals commented on the commercial build of the machines, commenting that they were ideal for both commercial use as well as for their own personal use at home. Well received was the ability to store the machines away, and their small footprint which is useful in both busy larger commercial gyms as well as small PT studios and homes.

Other product highlights on the Fitness Superstore stand included the commercial strength equipment, including the Body-Solid Functional Training Centre, offering an unlimited range of exercises as well as the space-efficient Body Power Revolution Adjustable Dumbbells, which replace 10 pairs of dumbbells with just one.

Fitness Superstore Sales and Marketing Manager, Scott Burrows commented, “We are thrilled with the reception the new FluidRowers received at the show. It was important for us to establish our position as a supplier of high-calibre fitness equipment, suitable for both the commercial and consumer markets and I feel we achieved that goal. We were impressed with the quality of visitors at LIW 2014 and are pleased with the contacts made at the show with decision-makers in the industry.”

The new range of FluidRowers will be available to purchase from Fitness Superstore from December 2014. A selection of these models are available for demonstration at the Fitness Superstore Northampton Showroom. Please contact Fitness Superstore on 01604 673000 to arrange a demo.
