4 More HIIT Workouts You Need to Try

Currently making waves in the fitness world, High Intensity Interval Training combines fast-paced routines that are proven to burn calories, and shred fat fast! Its popularity, thanks in part to its short timeframe and effectiveness, means HIIT is still going strong in 2018. So with summer just around the corner, why not mix up your exercise routine with these 4 HIIT workouts?

Routine #1

Complete as many reps as possible of each exercise within 40-second intervals, then rest for 20 seconds before advancing to the next move. You’ll need an exercise mat  and a  kettlebell for some of these!

Exercise 1. Push Ups
Exercise 2. Goblet Squats
Exercise 3. Kettlebell Swings
Exercise 4. Burpees
Exercise 5. Tricep Dips

Repeat the routine 4 times for a tough 20-minute workout!

 

Routine #2

Complete as many reps of the first 3 exercises as possible within 40-second intervals, resting for 20 seconds before advancing to the next move, then use the speed rope for 2 minutes. You’ll need a slam ball and a speed rope for some of these.

Exercise 1. Mountain Sliders
Exercise 2. Tricep Dips
Exercise 3. Ball Slams
Exercise 4. Speed Rope

Repeat the routine 4 times for an intense 20-minute workout!

 

Routine #3

Complete as many reps of the first 3 exercises as possible within 40-second intervals, resting for 20 seconds before advancing to the next move, then plank for 1 minute. You’ll need an exercise mat for comfort, a kettlebell, a pair of dumbbells and a plyo box.

Exercise 1. Kettlebell Cleans
Exercise 2. Dumbbell Chest Press
Exercise 3. Box Jumps
Exercise 4. Star Jumps
Exercise 5. Plank

Repeat the routine 5 times to really work your core for 25 minutes!

 

Routine #4

Complete as many reps as possible of each exercise within 40-second intervals, then rest for 20 seconds before advancing to the next move. You’ll need an exercise mat, a kettlebell and a medicine ball!

Exercise 1. Medicine Ball Sit-ups
Exercise 2. High Knees
Exercise 3. Jumping Lunges
Exercise 4. Russian Twists
Exercise 5. Wide Grip Push-ups

Repeat the routine 4 times for a tough 20-minute workout!
