Now, with less than 2 weeks to go, I thought I’d let you know how I’m getting on… A slight training set back… Well, I can confidently say that I’m feeling much better prepared than I was a couple of weeks ago. Coming at the worst time possible, I suffered a slight set back in the form of a twisted ankle that pulled a tendon. Anyone who’s ever had a pulled tendon will feel my pain. Definitely not a nice experience! Obviously, I couldn’t do any cardio training at all until it healed. Not only was it physically not possible, but any attempts to run or even mount the treadmill could have resulted in even more injury. As frustrating as it was, I had to grin and bear it, stick to my strength training and simply plan to tackle my running head on when I could finally get back on track. Back on track… Following a two week rest, I’m now back on it and making the most of training before the race. Building up gradually using the Vision T60 treadmill in my Leeds store showroom has certainly helped me get back to being "road ready" with its fantastic cushioned deck.  This week will see me doing my last "big run" out on the open road before the big day. I'm hoping to get at least a 10 miler under my belt, and as long as I can manage it, I'll be more than happy. Justin training 2 The music for the finish line festival has now been announced too. I've got to admit that I'm going to be more than a little excited to see The Farm & The Christians (you older readers will know who they are I'm sure - Altogether Now / Harvest For The World ring a bell?) after running 13.1 miles through what I hope is a sunny (but not too hot) Liverpool.  I will of course keep you all updated after the run as to how good it was and how much I enjoyed it. I’m pleased to say that I’m also still doing well with my diet. With that two weeks of no training, I definitely couldn’t risk eating unhealthily. I’ve still been eating healthy salads, poached egg breakfasts and high protein shakes. I’ve never felt better! Read how Justin got on at the Rock & Roll Half Marathon.
